Frequently Asked Questions
How does a virtual visit work?
You will join by video from your phone, tablet, or computer. After booking you will receive a simple link and instructions—no app or login required.
What do I need for my appointment?
A stable internet connection, a private space.
Can I reschedule or cancel online?
Yes. Your confirmation includes easy instructions to reschedule or cancel at any time.
What conditions do you treat?
Hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, colds, medication refills, annual visits, and general chronic care management for adults and older adults.
What if I need lab work, imaging, or a hands-on exam?
We will order any necessary tests and coordinate with local labs or imaging centers. We will guide you on the next step.
Is the visit private and secure?
Yes. All visits use encrypted video platforms that meet Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requirements. No one else can join or listen without your permission.
What if I have technical problems?
Call the office at 775-264-3237 right away. We can troubleshoot or switch to a phone call if needed so the visit is not lost.
Can I receive prescriptions through telehealth?
Yes. Prescriptions for ongoing chronic conditions, medication refills, and many other needs can be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy after the visit.
Do you accept my insurance?
We work with many plans. Call 775-264-3237 before your visit so we can confirm coverage and any out-of-pocket costs.
How should I prepare?
Find a private, well-lit space. Have your medications, recent blood pressure or blood sugar readings (if you track them), and any questions written down. Join a few minutes early to test your connection.
When should I go to urgent care or the emergency room instead?
Telehealth is not appropriate for sudden severe symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, stroke signs, or major injuries. Seek emergency care immediately in those situations.
Can a family member or caregiver join the visit?
Yes, with your permission. Just let us know in advance so we can include them on the video call.
